• Located in the heart of Beijing. Tiananmen square literally, the "Place of Heavenly Peace"-is the largest enclosed open space in the world. It was first opened to the public in 1911 after the collapse of the Chinese monarchy. The Potala Palace complex perches atop Mar-Po-Ri.  The "Red Hill." For many centuries it was the government seat and residence of the Dalai Lama.

• The Potala  Palace was placed on the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage Sites in 1994. The grandiose Potala Palace reflected in the Lhasa River.

❤️Dalai-Lama: The Dalai Lama is the title of the highest ranking spiritual leader in Tibetan Buddhism. The Current Dalai Lama, the fourteenth, is the monk born as Tenzin Gyato.
