Highest, fastest, and safest these are probably the words that best describe the one of a kind skyscraper located in the heart of the Taiwanese city of Taipei. In every way, Taipei 101 is a building of superlatives. 

​Tapei 101's gigantic shopping shopping mall extends over three floors and one basement level. In addition to an array of shops, there are numerous bars, restaurants, and other entertainment venues within the complex.

❤️History: The cornerstone for Taipei 101 was laid in January 1998. It was officially opened in the last day of December , 2004. 
❤️Costs: The building costs totaled over 2.5 billion dollars.
❤️Height: It is the tallest building in the world, its 1,671ft  surpassing the Petrons Towers, the previous record-holder. 
❤️Elevators: Taipei 101 has 63 elevators, 34 of them double-decker. At up to 40 miles per hour, these are the fastest elevators in the world.
❤️Floors: The building has 101 floors and 5 basement levels. The lobby  is on the 4th floor, a garage on the four lowest basement levels, and a shopping  mall on the first  three floors and uppermost basement level. The 5th floor is a conference center.  Floors 5-85 are office space, with a viewing platform and restaurants occupying the 87-90th floors. The building's mass damper structure  extends through the 87th to 91st floors are devoted to service equipment.
